Just finished 4 wheel thunder with cdda via hdd, no problem for cdda, even the loops ! Well done

I found another preset of First Kiss Story2 which has no freezing symptom at all when I press continuously A,B,X,Y button in gameplay and no blackscreen after one of problematic FMV animation.But Unfortunately there still remain serious problem of freezing when I select save or load option in game.So It is impossible to save or load in gameplay with this preset...

(Direct,0x8CB01800,0x8CB02800,DMA on, SYNC ture or 16, CDDA off, OS auto,Loader auto)

With retrodream we have the preset "true" PIO, and with 4 wheel thunder, for me the loadings
are a little faster with 0.6.11 loader and cdda.
This preset seems to be not available with iso loader, but it's probably just a feeling.

For puyo puyo 4, 0.6.11, preset 0x8C000100, true DMA, cdda, the music crash a little like we have with
Kao the Kangaroo. But comes back good after a moment.

I want to try to load the memory address in the 32M dc,

but the memory address starting with 0x8D cannot be preset in the memory address option.

Is there any way to preset it? For example, the preset is 0x8D00100 or 0x8d004000

@kof888 maybe it's a thing @dragoncity and @cpasjuste could had this in retrodream.
It will be good thing to try Tom Jam & Earl 3 with 32MB dreamcast.

Need more tests, maybe IRQ improved situation. If not, I'll try to fix it by another way.

IRQ hooking gives the best loading speed ever, allows you to reduce memory consumption for CDDA from 32KB to 16KB (main and sound RAM) and something else that is still disabled.

It will be necessary for some. Also now you can select where loader places buffers like for CDDA, CSO and other dynamic memory. This is named as HEAP.
If loader places at 0x8c000100 (I want to use it as default) and IRQ hooking working (unfortunately not everywhere yet), you can place buffers behind the loader (can use auto) and it will not use the high memory for CDDA in general. It fix some cases.

Yeah, but UT has very slow loadings in general (lazy devs) and IRQ not big help here.

Hey SWAT,

I don't want to be a pain but if you have it on a CF card somewhere, could you try booting up NBA Showtime? The game seems to use CDDA for the announcer which I understand is a super strange case but I'd be interested to see if you've made progress there.
