It works perfectly(really perfectly) and with dma. In compatibility list it's written that it works fine(it's not written that you need to *launch from ip.bin*). It took me a lot of time to figure it out. So is it mistake on tester part, or it's working differently on yours dreamcast(usa maybe)? #some troubleshooting When i launched without choosing "launch from ip.bin", it did boot up. Welcome screen appeared, it said "please press start button". When i pressed start button, my DC got stuck, background music was playing, and loading screen was showing. You really should add on which region console game was tested. i guess Dark Hayabusa is using usa dc, so his result will be different than pal dc. From top of the head, "102 Dalmatians (us) no problem" did not fork for me on ds4rc3 hdd. nor on sd. I managed to lauch it with ds4rc2 on sd, did not try hdd, too much work . ----- question about high mem and low mem. 1.1 0x8c000100 is low mem? 1.6 0x8cff0000 is high mem? the lower mem is chosen the better game will run teoretically, is it correct? now isoloader has 0x8c0000e4 which is in first first collumn, 7 row(area where you can type in your memory). some games run for me from that memory. how i understand 0x8c0000e4 is lowest memory from presets, so it's better to use it than the default memory 0x8c004000 for speed? RE: Dreamcast GDI Compatibility List - SWAT - 24.01.2016 17:20 When the ISO Loader uses 0x8c000100, it's try emulate all syscalls. It's works not a 100% good. It's has some problems. So, maybe the game can't check some value from flashrom or something... "IP.BIN trunc" - this mode loads part of IP.BIN and launch it from bootstrap 2, itstead of loading full IP.BIN and launch from bootstrap 1. If loader palced at 0x8c004000 or 0x8c004800, so full IP.BIN can't be loaded, because uses the same memory. Full IP.BIN can be loaded if you use for loader 0x8c000100 (and lower) or high memory. 0x8c0000e4 it's a minimal addr which can be used for ISO Loader. But I recommend use not lower than 0x8c000100. Yes 0x8c000100 is low memory. Lower better, because high memory the game can rewrite. But some games can rewrite and 0x8c004000... If game works from 0x8c004000, so better use it. But if you use CDDA emulation, then best choiсe is 0x8c000100 (if game works from it), because for CDDA need additional memory for buffer. So if you use 0x8c000100, then CDDA buffer placed at lower memory too (after loader). If you use 0x8c004000, then CDDA buffer places in some high memory and it's can be conflicts with game. If you use high memory for the loader, then CDDA buffer puts to low memory (in place of IP.BIN). For speed the memory area doesn't metter! That kind of stuff. really useful info for noobs: if vga monitor is black, but says no video signal - game runs, but it does not support vga. If monitor is black, but does not say anything, game is stuck . for the first time, i didn't know anything about isoloader settings: memory ranges, homebrew, ip.bin... if game didn't worked for me when i clicked it, i thought it didn't work. after i have find out about memory ranges, i started to test all 13 memory ranges! for each game that didn't worked, to be sure that it does not work. it took shitload of time. and because quite often result in this compatibility list are different than my, even if compatibility list said that game does not work, i still tried add 13memory ranges... for little while. btw, ewil twin does run on my dc, hdd, ds4rc3. forgot which region, what settings, but remember that i needed *not to skip any video at beginning*. let all intro movies play and game loads fine. if i skipped movie, game hanged up. still i didn't do anything with homebrew, or ip.bin, ip.bin.cut, i tried it few times, but that didn't change anything, so i thought it's not important. question: if compatibility list says that game works fine, with default settings on testers dc, but it does not work with default settings on mine, should i try all 13memory ranges to know that it does not work, or there is smarter way? or that means that game was tested on different region, some different hardware, and if it did not run with default settings, it won't run? Async emu value can affect for smooth gameplay, but not for bootup. BTW I has same problem, after character select - reboot. Aldair plz stop the talking about unsupported WinCE on CF in all threads, you confuse people. Black screen. My set is Pal console (s-video out) + GD-ROM (Working) + BIOS mod (IGR bios, latest) + HDD mod (seagate 120 Gb) + (i have SD cardreader but right now i'm not using it ) I starting my console in next order: IGR bios --> Dreamshell RC4 from HDD --> ISO Loader --> Radirgy v1.002 (2005)(Milestone)(NTSC)(JP)[!].gdi (optimized) With different "loader memory" settings = No luck. (Everytime True Async is ON, DMA too) Maybe i need some other GDI image (or revision) of this game? May be this will help to me... Anyway big thanks for supporting SWAT. You are the MAN!
