I say that because if I use an extension with an Sata 3.5 I have the same error like you.

ok i got ur point now, as you said i use extended wires for sata & power bcoz i want to keep the hdd outside the dc, and when i use normal 3.5 sata it says no hdd at all, i think its due to low power from dc, when i give it power from external power supply it works fine
the ssd i use is 2.5 of course i dont know if there is 3.5 ssd,, anyways it stops at (mounting file system)
also on 3.5 hdd some games dont work while they should work fine... soul caliber does not even start now, so in general something not so right here, i checked wires 100 times
yes iam using 12v too

also i put my finger on the 3.5 hdd when connected by dc power, its not rotating just making (click click click)
but when i give it power from out side it works
but for ssd... it doesnt work no matter power from dc or outside !! which is crazy

update, i need help plz
now i changed bios to (dev + no gdrom)
but when i start dreamcast it comes to the black screen, finds hdd, then comes to last line below (no sd found) and freezes
tried also (retail + no gdrom) , same exactly
funny thing is when i put back the gdrom it works
what is going on really!!!

Hello,I Play Skies Of Arcadia !
In GDI lag a little sometimes,very rare,so i tested in DMA..but freeze at the menu.
So I test in SYNC 16,and I think now it's the best
An other thing,the fan is very noisy.
I dediced to remove completly !
Normaly you can't because if you remove the fan..the dreamcast turn off..because dreamcast check if the fan rotates !
With a friend I created an hex:
You can see explanation but it's in french sorry ^^

I make this jumper ... I can use dreamcast without a cooler ... or put a 12v cooler

Edit : Fabio have you remove your fan?
I tested 2 dreamcast during 3hours ,one with fan and one without fan.
The temperature inside it's the same,after 1 hour it's 44•C.
So with or Without fan..I don't see any difference !! So for me the fan it's not necessary.
And without fan and dreamshell..my god no noise (because gdrom it's horrible)!!

I removed yes from another dreamcast I have. I used this dreamcast for a long time without a cooler ... only the last time I tried to modify it ... I forgot it turned on the power, I just caused a short on the motherboard ... I lost my dreamcast... my luck i have 2 dreamcast

And it's crazy because I put a temperature sensor inside both,and there is the same temperature...
And your mod just with a wire it's very cool,where do you find this information?
Normally the dreamcast need about 200hz,It is the speed of rotation.
And with your mod you just put 3,3v...!
It's compatible va0 and va1?

KOF2002 works for me, (as well as KOF2001), GDI OPT with default settings on RC4. Tested in a VA0, US, biosmod.
About isozone ISO, it is probably made from a CDI format.

Do you use a PAL/US/JAP dreamcast?
It's very important,because it's not the same config sometimes... !!!

Like Gillbert,KOF 2001&2002 WORKS on my Dreamcast PAL with GDI OPT and default setting !
If you can don't use CDI...but GDI or GDI OPT!
