I have one more personal question .... My Console is the one that runs the black and white r with cut screen some games like: Sega Rally 2, 90 Minutes football, Ikagura etc ..... If I do the Jamping on the board at 12V resistor and record a new region (For example NTSC) .... these games that I just said above, will work normally colored ...? thanks

I believe it was hacked back in the days to run from backup cd-r.
Can it be converted to GDI as well?

I did a long time ago (I don't know if I have already it in gdi but not sure anyway it's not long to compil it in gdi again).

I confess I didn't try with the last loaders 0.7 but there is a lot of cdda inside, so for me we have to wait a cdda mod for dreamshell with homebrew compatibilties....
If it runs a repack with megavolt tools maybe fun

Perhaps with the next release... please megavolt tease us again ^^

@megavolt85 have you finally receive my ide to sata adapter ? May you have more info now about why the visual concept and 2K series doesn't run with sata and run with Compact flash mod ?

i think is needed to solder all grounds of ide cable and non use cables like pin 34 etc on ground for ide to sata should work. or pin 2 have less 8 cm.
I soldered all ground cables and unused cables to the ground and my sata adapter worked.

haummmm OK yeah i hope you can solve this problem maybe the problem is adapter itself you can try solder some ide connector with sata adapter.
Do you know why is freezing ? on load

@megavolt85 if it's possible to use ide in master mode than slave actually we can use better ide to sata converter.

boot only HDD with dragoncity adapter, but alredy freeze on load app ISO Loader

So you can't boot the isoloader app with dragoncity stuff and sata hdd ?

Use the dragoncity DS folder and run retro dream in a first time, If I understand well, it's for helping you to find an issue for visual concept and 2K games series than doesn't boot with sata ssd.

What's the benefit of using ide <-> sata adapters over regular IDE hdd or CF?
As far as I know everyone trying to mess with these sata adapters end up with compatibility problems.

I know CF-cards are expensive but you can sometimes find them cheap on eBay.
My experience with CF-cards is that it works pretty well (Soldier of Fortune loading a lot faster for example).

Yeah of course but ssd is the future. I guess probably for the last reluctant, there'll be problems with SATA.

An other problem is the boot of visual concept games and 2k series, dragoncity have a CF mod, and they don't run on a pal console...

I have issues with Ooga Booga and NFL 2K2 freezing randomly when using a CF card. There's also an issue with commentary in the NBA games cutting off after playing for a while. None of these issues occur when I'm playing from my HDD. So yeah, CF isn't perfect either.

@pcwrd13 do you have a SATA hdd or/and an sata ssd ? Can you play those games with it ?
