I hope some of the no vga games like Bangai-O and hydro thunder can be patched to work in vga mode.
Bangai-O works btw, just broken rendering in vga mode.

Messing with an idea today. I took Dragoncity's GD-IDE pinout and made it work on a va0 gd-rom. Pin 1 of the ide is connected to the first pin on the right side connected to a 10k resistor. I grabbed 5v with the grey wire.

Using an 80pin ide cable now. Things seem to work fine. I'm still testing.

~~Эту версию так и не нашел оригинале~~(Нашел в TOSEC USA). Пришлось собирать по нитке. За ISO английской версии спасибо luizroz. Русские mds скачаны с торента. Для сборки GDI 1ST_READ.BIN пропатчены на LBA45000.
Сделал из всего этого материала перепаковки.
Видео в хорошем качестве из оригинального дампа 1.002.
От 1.001 везде 1ST_READ.BIN и 2_DP.BIN. В русских версиях дополнительно *.LZS.
По ссылке SFR доступны репаки со скринами разницы 1.001 от оригинального 1.002:
SFR_2049_1.001_EN_GDI_OK
SFR_2049_1.001_RU_KUDOS_GDI_OK
SFR_2049_1.001_RU_VECTOR_GDI_OK

Тестировал на 0.7.0b3.
Русские репаки тестировал много. Работают стабильно.
Английский репак тестировал минут 5. Меню прошло, мне было достаточно.
Для использования в ISO Loader 0.7.x Beta нужно будет оптимизировать скачаное в optimize.bat.
По ссылке не гарантирую доступность контента. Может месяц пролежит, может 5 лет.

It's because it's an VA0,and there is NOT resistor on VA0.

But in VA1 there is,and don't need to remove.

Well I first tried it myself:
Get "San Francisco RUSH 2049 v1.001 (2000)(Midway)(NTSC)(US)[!].zip" from https://the-eye.eu/public/rom/Sega%20Dreamcast/

Unpack -> gdi optimize it -> Patch with instructions from first post:
sed -i 's/\x2C\xB1\x09\x00/\x17\xD2\xF3\x64/g' track05.iso
sed -i 's/\x09\x00\x09\x00/\x17\xD2\xF3\x64/g' track05.iso

But it didn't boot at all.. your version works great Smile

I've added the sd card mod it boots fine and plays all non 0.7. I'm using an 80 pin ide to sata adapter to ssd. I've put the retrodream files in the sd card only. Still getting the same error as putting retrodream on ssd.

I'm not having issues loading 0.7 from standard 2.5 inch sata laptop.

Really strange because all in SSD work.

RetroDream & Games.

The blue IDE connector must be connected to the GD-IDE PCB.

And the end of the IDE cable to your IDE/SATA adapter. (not the middle one!)

Still getting the no ide error. I'll try formatting it in smaller clusters. If not working I'll get another ssd.
