what is version PSO v2 you use?

i'm not sure but i found another gdi rip of it on my pc and i could find them in that so i guess that one will do Smile

all i need now is speed devils online to work and for someone to add an ftp solution to dreamshell so i can transfer stuff over ftp using the broadband adaptor and i'll be set Big Grin

i believe i have it all sorted now thanks, are you the one who worked on the ide.bin? if so do you know if anyone is working on ftp support for dreamshell?

BBA adapter have only SWAT, you need to ask him to add support for FTP

BBA adapter have only SWAT, you need to ask him to add support for FTP

Try maybe put a switch for have 60hz and not just solder.

Are you sure I have to do this? I will lose pal color and I can not simply put a switch thee as I also need to rewrite flash memory to change region. And what about ntsc consoles? Do the people also have to do this? And again, this problem only happens with the new loader and only for some games

Yes you can,just put a switch on/on.

You use an RGB cable right? I don't understand your problem with color..maybe your TV don't accept 60hz?

My TV accepts PAL50 and PAL60 RGB or composite signal. It cannot accept VGA nor NTSC since it uses different method of color encoding (it shows as grayscale). The R422 jumper does not regulates if console outputs 50 or 60HZ image, it regulates what color encoding is used (PAL or NTSC). To change between 50 and 60hz signal you have to unlock write operation to MBM29LV002 by soldering 12V wire to it and than change region via region changer. there is no easy way to just switch between 50/60hz by just soldering a switch.

there's no reason why you would need to switch between 50/60Hz, if your pal just leave it as 50Hz since it's what we're used to anyway or as you say just flash your chip so it's set to ntsc for 60Hz.

also i should point out that if you go for a dual bios option then you won't have to solder a wire to flash it, therefor if you want to switch it between pal and ntsc you can easily do that from dreamshell plus it has the added bonus of being able to flash dreamshell to the bios and booting into it without the need of a burned disc.

RGB is raw signal with 3 colors

I try only MSR, but the amazing Jeff bridge music intro sounds like a victory. And the loadings are terribly fast, it derseves a new video for compare them between different systems.

I guess the tracks are not fragmented in a gdrom, but if we have to do it often it will become a little annoying (and reduce the live of hdd ?). It exists a software for making the copy to a hdd without fragment the files ?

Do you know if the files may be fragmented in a sd card, a usb stick and a CF card ?

Anyway this loader is incredible, thanks again :-D

most consoles that you setup to play games from sd etc have this issue and the only way to get around it is to copy everything over again if you are at the point where it's effecting you but i've found the best method is to just copy over everything you want on it all at once then just leave it but from what i remember about fragmentation is it happens when you for example delete a game then add another since as we know when you delete something it doesn't really delete it, it's more like overwriting.

if you really want to go all in and you're setting this up from scratch you could do a Data Destruction Method on your storage device which is use a program that will erase and write zero's to your device so there is nothing left on it at all and then add all your games to ensure there as clean as they can be.

if you're curious this is the method i'm currently using:

it's a 250GB 44 pin ide hdd that runs off 5v (which all 2.5" can obviously) and the switch on it is for turning the hdd on and off as i can switch between multiple bioses on the dreamcast this is installed in, also it can easily be removed and plugged into another dreamcast that has a pico psu or dreampsu as you want something low profile to fit under it.

the benefits of this method is it's removable and it allows me to still use the gdrom drive.

I tested Ooga Booga online last night. It worked great for about an hour but then it froze on me a couple times. I might try and fiddle with some settings and see if that does anything. I fixed freezing in 18 Wheeler by selecting a different loader memory address so maybe that would help here. I used 0x8ce00000 for Ooga Booga. It'll be difficult to troubleshoot if it only happens once or twice an hour though. lol

Edit: I noticed something really interesting. I recorded all the matches from last night and looking back on them, I noticed both times it froze, the clock was at 31 seconds left. So something must happen when the clock reaches 30 seconds that causes it to freeze...

Edit #2: Confirmed! I just tested the game with an offline match and sure enough, it froze at the 31 second mark! Knowing that should make testing much easier!
