This game was found on a development kit and the last levels don't work because there are too huge and not optimized. I never play until this issue unfortunately.
Test about last release of 0.8 loader, hope I'll be able to fix my dreamcast and test it this evening

I tested a lot of games with CDDA and not. The most work fine.
Some games that i tested and still now work:
Ooga Booga from Echelon hack - No boot.
Test Drive VRally / V Rally Extreme Edition - Not start the race with CDDA Emulate ON. Only boot with Heap on Loader side
Speed Devils - No play music
Sonic Adventure - The begin work better with Defaults, but after no boot, strange issue.
My setup: Sata Adapter on gd board with HDD SATA.
Other issue, when i use Dreamshell on SD with games on HDD, some games no boot.
Test Drive VRally / V Rally Extreme Edition - perfect working for me with true DMA and IRQ with CDDA mode DMA_TMU2
Speed Devils - works for me with true DMA and IRQ with CDDA mode DMA_TMU1.
Ooga Booga - works only with low-level mode yet.
About DS from SD and games from IDE is a known issue, thanks.

Maybe issue with SATA->IDE. I use CF card without any converters.

Looping works in Monaco and Speed Devils now!
Only issue is the music starts to distort on the third or fourth loop. Oddly it seems to fix itself on the next loop. Any idea on how to fix that? Still a big improvement though!Also tried 4x4 Evolution but I'm having the same issue where it freezes when the song ends. Maybe something to do with CDDA + WinCE?

I get a sound issue in WInCE after working with CDDA. This is also present in the Railroad, where the sound freezes in the video trailers after CDDA working. First video before CDDA plays fine.
I still don't understand what the problem is.

For me cdda works well for railroad Tycoon when using 0.6 GCC 7.1.

CDDA works well, but video playback after CDDA working with issues in sound. The game sound working good.
BTW 0.6 has bugs with looping.

M'y Dreamcast is fix so i Can get back here
Kao music stop After few seconds during intro and game crash at loading. (Not sure to use the perfect preset, i'm sorry).
Can't boot shadow gangs even without cdda.
Zia with cdda enabled, the game run well but no music.

Today's tests
Every game I tried have a good loop now, so I guess you have find the issue dear @Swat
Revolt - > still ok but distorsion until loop
Good preset for kao : 0x8c00000100 memory preset, behind the loader, cdda, no IRQ, TMU2 without dma, no crash but quite distorsion until loop, I played 3 levels !
Skies of arcadia -> intro freeze at luna's animal like gdemu clone, run well with 0.6.11_se
puyo puyo 4 -> loop is good here too, but distorsion like kao
sega rally 2 black screen.
@aldair could give a try with shadow gangs or share your preset for neo geo cd games please ?

Very interesting information, because without the IRQ, more memory is used for CDDA and placing it "behind the loader," overwrites the default KATANA interrupt space and overwrites a bit of the game binary (just little).
This suggests that this game handle interrupts not in a standard KATANA way. So far I have seen this only in Ooga Booga from KATANA games, maybe somewhere else, but I don’t remember.

New tests :
Spec ops 2 : WE CAN still shoot with dma tmu1 everything is ok here
Toy commander : irq and tmu1, game run well cdda too, the loop seems to be good but the next music start with delay and if you do a paused the paused music is running but not at the beginning. Like it's running behind the background. Probably it's the same like the true game. So for me this one is good too.
Guilty gear (i know you said it's special) : no music
Millenium soldier Expendables : a curiosity that may help you.
If i run at dma tmu, there is no fx but if i choose sq tmu, you have fx but some textures are not good... Maybe i didn't find the good preset.
Impossible to me to boot ooga booga echelon.
This loader still very good even if we have a lot of distorsion with cdda but the improvements are real
