Hello !

The first time I use region changer..no problem..but second time...Black Swirl of the Dead... Confused

So For repare that..I put this bios "jc-bootROM-devkit-v1.031.bin".

So it's ok...but not PERFECT !

The 1rst problem,many games can't stay in 60hz,so I have just "Half the screen" like Resident Evil Code Veronica.

The 2nd problem,many games don't boot..Shenmue 1&2 for exemple.

The 3rd problem,I need to put 01/01/1950..

So there is an other solution to have a Dreamcast who works perfectly with an other bios..or anything else?

Yes I know...no possibility to fix?

If I put bios dreamshell,in RGB, I must preset Y for have 60hz at the beginning...possibility to FORCE 60hz and no press Y?

no, only replace Flash Rom (IC502)

Ok I tested
480i NTSC + Reboot : Same problem
480i NTSC + Save VMU + Reboot : Same problem
480iPAL + Reboot : Same problem
480i PAL + Save VMU + Reboot : Same problem

The only solution is to Press Y after boot... (like my last pictures)

I tested Shenmue 2 on this Dreamcast...doesn't work ! Black screen

So... Dreamcast (Black Swirl of the Dead) + Dreamshell...many games doesn't work..

It's the same result for Dreamcast (Black Swirl of the Dead) + Freebios...many games doesn't work..

this games can't work with damaged Flash Rom

So Region changer IS VERY DANGEROUS...NOT SURE..and it can make unusable your Dreamcast!!

bad idea solder +12V to RESET IC502
need unsolder D503, rotate and solder
+12V need solder to D503

But you said , rotate...but if you rotate it's impossible to solder after...

Ok if I understand..I desolder S6.

After I solder just 1 pin and the 2 others no solder on the motherboard

After I solder 12V at the left pin of S6.

Correct?

to motherboard need solder one pin
to red point on S6 need solder +12V
WARNING!!!! Don't solder two pins S6 to motherboard

Settings saved to VMU A1, need attached VMU on this port.
Without save to VMU settings doesn't apply at startup.

Also you can use VGA cable, it's forced this mode without check region code in flashrom.
