Isn't 3MB/s like 20x? So it's already faster than the Dreamcast drive reading CD-R (4x) or even GD-Rom (12x) and you think you could reach around 70x? That's amazing! And it seems like an adapter wouldn't cost much furthermore!
Could we see a shenmue loading screen just for comparison? Any compatibility issue?
I registered to congratulate you on the hard work you did on DreamShell for all those years! Without it, there probably wouldn't be flashable bios or good uses for the sd-card and that's something I'm very grateful to you for. I've played a role in pushing jj1odm to release the sd-card adaptor, and I'm glad that in this sense I've played a small role to help DreamShell what it's now.
Thank you again for all your work.

PS: Sorry for the post in english, I sadly don't speak russian… yet!
First, sorry if I don't speak Russian. I'd like to learn it but only know the alphabet so far! That and Привет.
I happen to have a lot of experience in this technique, I was on of the few people that did it years ago after StateS published his guides. Here a tutorial I've written a similar tutorial in French 6 years ago on the dreamagain.fr website.
I'm interested in the drive you used. As the only drive I've heard that worked well with this technique is the Lite-On LTD-165h. This one gives good results with very few failed rips, while all the others I tried or that others I know tried did not worked all the way to LBA549150. But it seemed you used a LG drive and I wonder what model/firmware you're using and if it reads reliably after adjusting the laser.

спасибо мой друг!
Could you tell us the reading speed you got with that adapter?
Also, could it work along with the DS bios to boot from IDE HDD and not require the gd-rom daughterboard?
By the way: GREAT WORK!
Thank you!
