1) Is there an important difference between IDE Mod and Sata Mod with DreamShell?
2) Can I supply my HDD 2.5 "Sata from a console that uses GDROM? (Run DS from disk).

1) All the difference in SATA2IDE adapter, it is difficult to find a good adapter
2) for 2.5" you can get power from dreamcast PSU, for boot DS need BIOS mod
P.S. For less heating it is better to use PicoPSU
