I don't know what changes are most effective… So i tested with Dreamshell RC 2 and 3 using the current settings.

In RC 4, i remember to have changed:

Use DMA transfer (GD/IDE only): checked and unchecked
Emulate as sync read: none, 2 and 8
Emulate CDDA audio: checked and unchecked
Binary OS: Auto and KATANA
I didn't change boot mode and loader memory settings.
I used a save point at the first opportunity because intro is too long.
