Have you tried to remove irq hooking option ?
For me except the very little cdda track, they both run well.
Shenmue 1 and 2.

I did others tests :
Millenium soldier Expendables :
Seems to be good with 0.6.0 loader but i didn't have fx only musics and freeze on the end of level one with true dma for data
And tmu1 and 2 dma for music.

Tom jam & earl 3 boot with 0.6.11_se loader and not for me with 0.8.0 loader.

Sturmwind : with irq true dma, cdda tmu1 and tmu2 dma, loader behind : music but black screen after vmu check.
Without irq : no musics but fx and read error screen when i start a game. Damn
With a gdemu, this game crash more or less randomly, it's good to know, but il hope interesting for improving loader.

4 wheel thunder : game reboot with irq randomly. Else everything is good without dma for datas.

Toy commander didn't find the good preset. But ok with 0.6.11 loader

A good game for checking the data flow quality is ooga booga.
With 0.6.11_se loader we need the echelon hack for boot.
If you are able to boot the original version... Bingo !
