@dragoncity i have an interesting development, as i mentioned before i couldn't get the 240GB mSATA drive working with dreamshell (this is the one i had: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07C...TF8&psc=1)
and for some reason it didn't show up so i figured i would have to try something else but i just bought this one for a different project (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07C...TF8&psc=1)
and before using it in that project i thought what the hell and tried it and it works, do you have any idea why that might happen? maybe a size issue?

IDE SSD will only work if you use an ide cable with its original size.

IDE SSD will only work if you use an ide cable with its original size.

i don't follow, i haven't made any modification to the ide cable i'm using.

not yet but i'm gonna get one, do you think that's why the 120gb msata works and the 240gb one doesn't?

Maybe yes with ATA100 many problem with sata.

yeah same adaptor and basically the same msata, it's just one is 120gb and works and the other is 240gb and doesn't lol

use another hdd, 160 gb is lba48

no, many games requsted more 256 sectors, lba28 can send only 256 sectors per read, lba48 can send 65536 sectors

I got the game to boot with the patch but the game slows down big time at the menu and the controller doesn't work. I'm using the US version. I'll try the PAL version tomorrow and see if that works.

The hex patch for san fransisco rush is for the game or for the loader ?
For the game you have to patch the region in ip.bin ? Just add JUE in flag and text for all region, there is something else to do in order to make a game "region free" ?

ip.bin check only BIOS

RUSH 2049 check region your console is addtional protection in game code

my 80GB hd is LBA 28 does not work. I turned on the 320GB hard drive not Boot is on this screen stopped.
any HD that connects from LBA 48 hangs on that boot screen, any idea what it can be?

Have you solder ground (GND)?
