...some reported above games worked, some said not working...after struggling for quite a while I found a trick to make them worked (like a charm!)...yeah

...don't even have to change console region, all you need is a game save in your VMU and launch the game... (get a game save from a friend, or create one by playing game disc... if both not available, read below...)

note: sometimes it may seem not working, just re-start DS and try again, it will work !!

P.S. if not possible to get a game save, up/down grade the file DS_CORE.BIN (get it from github history...), by swapping this file there should be one that can trigger a successful launch of the game, remember to create a game save, then switch back to your original DS_CORE.BIN, all will be working afterwards... hurrah !!

I tested with the last "isoldr.klf" and with "0.6.1 gcc-7.1" and "normal ide.bin" same thing..

This game works only for me in JAP console.

For the moment I tested 4-5games in the "DOESN'T WORK" list with the las "isoldr.klf" and with "0.6.1 gcc-7.1"..and nothing change.

Guys, updated isoldr module doesn't increase compatibility (it's impossible in general), just fix some strange boot problems at startup of isoldr firmware. 4

you may compare with my setup, and also the checksums of DS_CORE.BIN and IDE.BIN...

BIOS and ATA mod, with 2.5" 80gb IDE HDD, RESET button mod

... by using the 2 methods:
1. re-start DS (RESET button)
2. swap DS_CORE.BIN
... once a successful launch, it's like unlock a treasure box, all other games simply worked together... if without game save, the connection will easily be broken, will be hard to re-connect (work) again...

P.S. I used the FIX by SWAT, still occasionally cannot boot the game, but re-start DS (RESET) and worked like a charm !!

After under defeat and zero gunner 2 you can add suzuki allstar extrem racing but not with ide only with sd card sd 0.6.6x :
.gdi / cdda ! / sync 8 / loader 0x8c000100 :-D

Freeze on loading before a race with ide 0.6.1 gcc7.1 with the same config.



I some things with msr but still always black screen after intro...

I've been having issues booting both Shenmue and Ready 2 Rumble on my PAL system (converted to NTSC), both are in OPT format and are supposed to work with Dreamshell but no settings will get either one to boot properly.

Shenmue: Will not boot on any version of ide.bin I've tried (0.6.6, 0.6.1 gcc-5.2/7.1, 0.6.2_noCDDA_gcc7.1 and 0.6.7 gcc-8.2), no choice of memory will change it either, nor DMA on/off or the choice of sync. Every time it will reach the "Executing..." line in ide.bin and freeze the console.

I've only seen Shenmue work on my configuration (CF -> IDE) in one of SWATs videos using 0.6.5, which I haven't been able to find on the site.

Ready 2 Rumble: Will display white screen and then either reboot or show a machine error "cannot load audio cfg - machine halted". The machine error only occurs when using DMA w/ sync 16; everything else causes a reboot.

For me shenmue I boot in 0x8cfe8000 noDMA in .gdi but it's right dragoncity has write opt format in his list...
Try it in .gdi and first with your sdcard using sd.bin from 0.6.6x beta version. I had the same problem than you my ground was not good enough may you have to shorten your ground. Now for me it run well in ide. Only the 0.6.6x run shenmue I and you can use the 0.6.6x for soulcalibur for other games you may have issue with 0.6.6x

ready 2 rumble same thing try it first in gdi nodma then gdi with dma in my memories it works like a charm with 0.6.0 and normally with 0.6.1 gcc7.1, dragoncity has a very good system for opt and dma.

If you tried the 0.6.7 delete you DS folder and replace it by an original one, it create trouble with dreamshell sometimes.
