RE: Alternative Bios Soldering Points
I'm sorry to bump old thread. But I broke 44,43,42,24 bios solder pad of the top of pcb when I have tried to detach sega mpr-21931 chip by Hot Air Rework Station.
So I resoldered intact solder pad and I directly soldered jumping wire to 43,42,24 pin of sega mpr-21931 chip and connected them to each of bios alternative point(43,42,24) in the bottom of pcb.
Although I finished to connect jumping wire for all broken solder pad, It seems that my dreamcast still shows black screen... And I found that When I did Continuity test by touching probe on the 24 pin of sega mpr-21931 chip and bios alternative point(24) in the IC502,multimeter never beeps.
Is it REALLY no need to directly connect bios alternative point(24) in the IC502 to 24 pin of sega mpr-21931 chip?
Is it okay to just connect 24 pin of sega mpr-21931 chip to bios alternative point(24) in the bottom of pcb?
Thank you for your interest and Any reply would be appreciated.
